Newborn Sessions

When should we book?

One of the most common questions I get—and the good news is, it’s easy. As soon as you’re booked in, I pencil in your due date. That means I keep a flexible window open for you—two weeks before and two weeks after your estimated due date. So whenever your little one decides to arrive, I’ll have a session slot ready and waiting.

What to Expect at Your Newborn Session

These sessions are all about keeping things calm, cozy, and baby-led. We’ll take up to three hours so there’s plenty of time for feeds, cuddles, and settling in. No rush, no stress—just a relaxed vibe so baby (and you) feel comfortable.

If you have older siblings you'd like involved, I usually suggest they come in at the end of the session when we’re ready for those sweet family shots—but I’m happy to be flexible based on your family’s needs.

What to Bring

If you're bottle feeding, bring twice as much milk as you'd normally need in a four-hour window. Babies tend to snack more during a session, and we want to keep them happy and full.

Also pack:

A full change of clothes for baby

Plenty of nappies

A sterilised spare dummy (if you’re using one)

Any sentimental items you might want included in the photos

Your Photo Gallery

After your session, I’ll get to work editing your images. Your fully edited gallery will be ready to view in about three weeks. Once you’ve chosen your favourites, I’ll send your downloads straight away—no fuss, just beautiful images in your inbox.

Outdoor Sessions

What to Expect

Our session will be laid-back and fun — more like a family adventure than a stiff photo shoot. I’ll guide you into gentle, natural moments (no forced smiles or awkward poses here). Think cuddles, giggles, running barefoot through fields, or exploring the woods together — whatever fits your family best. Sessions usually last up to 60 minutes, giving us time to settle in, explore the location, and capture those real, beautiful moments as they unfold.

What to Bring

Snacks & water (non-messy options are best — we want happy tummies, not sticky fingers!)

Wipes, tissues, and any essentials for little ones

A relaxed mindset — we’ll go with the flow, and that’s where the magic happens

How to Prep the Kids

Chat to them beforehand so they know it’s going to be fun — not a sit-still-and-smile kind of day. Tell them we're going on a little adventure and someone will be there taking photos while they play and snuggle with you.

No pressure, no rules — just connection.

After the Shoot

I’ll send you a sneak peek within a few days, and your fully edited gallery will be ready in around 3 weeks. From there, you can choose your favourites and download them straight away.

Want to upgrade? I’ll walk you through everything.

Studio Sessions

The Vibe

My studio is all about comfort, warmth, and natural light. I’ve created a space that’s relaxed, intimate, and perfect for capturing genuine moments with your loved ones. No stiff poses or awkward smiles here — just a fun, laid-back experience where you can truly shine.

The Session

Studio sessions usually last but to Han hour depending on the individual shoot. Whether it’s you and your partner, your kids, or the whole family, we’ll move through the session at your pace, with plenty of breaks if needed. We’ll create timeless, beautiful images that highlight the connection between you and your loved ones. I’ll guide you into natural poses, so you don’t have to worry about looking stiff — just be yourselves and enjoy the moment!

What to Wear

You’ll want to feel comfy but stylish. I always recommend bringing a few different outfit options to see what works best in the studio lighting.

Here are some tips:

  • Neutral tones like creams, tans, whites, and soft pastels work well in the studio and won’t distract from your faces.
  • Textures like knits, denim, or soft cottons look great on camera.
  • Avoid bright patterns or large logos – we want the focus to be on you, not your clothes!

Feel free to bring a couple of outfits to switch things up during the session. I can help you with outfit choices if you’re unsure!

This is a great place for you to tell your clients more about your story and to describe the type of photographer you are. You can come back at any time to make more changes.

What to Wear

This is the question I get asked the most - and I totally get why! What you wear plays a huge role in how your photos turn out. Don’t worry though, I’ve got you covered with these tips to make sure you’re looking your best:

Go for Neutrals & Soft Tones

Soft neutrals, creams, beiges, whites, pastels, and earthy tones (think olive, rust, and taupe) are always a winner. These colours are timeless and will make sure the focus stays on you, not your outfit. Have a look at colour palettes online and pick one to work with.

Textured Fabrics Work Wonders - materials like knits, denim, and soft cottons photograph beautifully and add visual interest without being distracting.

Avoid Bold Patterns & Logos

Skip clothes with bold patterns, logos, or text. They can be distracting and pull attention away from your face. Solid colors or subtle patterns like thin stripes or small prints are perfect!

Comfort is Key

You’ll want to feel comfortable and relaxed in whatever you’re wearing, so pick clothes that make you feel confident. If you’re doing a family session, try to coordinate but not match exactly. Different shades of the same color or complementary tones always work well.

Still unsure about what to wear or have last-minute worries? Feel free to reach out — I’m happy to help with outfit ideas, what to bring, or anything else you need to know!
